Initiatives Ashforth Pacific, Inc. has always strived to be environmentally responsible, and Property Management is now taking further steps toward reducing the environmental footprint of our properties. We are pleased to announce the introduction of new, more ecologically friendly restroom supplies; you’ve probably already noticed new hand soap dispensers and new paper products throughout the restrooms.
The selected paper towels and toilet tissue are both designated processed chlorine free (PCF) and contain 100% post-consumer recycled fibers (PCW). By purchasing chlorine free products, consumers help protect the environment from the formation of toxic substances such as dioxins and other carcinogens which pose a health risk when introduced into the water supply. The added benefit of the paper products being 100% post-consumer paper means all fibers are recovered from paper that was previously used by consumers and would otherwise have been dumped into a landfill or an incinerator. Foam soap has several benefits to you as well as to the environment. It allows for almost triple the number of washes per cartridge, reducing waste generated by additional empty cartridges. Because the soap is pre-lathered it requires less water for rinsing, thereby reducing the demand on the potable water supply. Decreased water requirements reduce human impact on aquatic life. Ashforth Pacific is proud to be able to offer these environmentally responsible options to our tenants as part of our ongoing effort to reduce waste and conserve resources.
