Alpha
Broadcasting To Co-Locate Six Radio Stations
to Pacwest Center
Alpha Broadcasting announced plans to co-locate its
six radio properties in the Pacwest Center, 1211 SW
Fifth Avenue in downtown Portland. With a target move-in
date of May 1, 2010, radio stations KUFO, KINK, KUPL,
KXL, KXTG and KCMD will each broadcast from the 6th
floor, with the corporate offices on the 7th floor
of the Ashforth-owned building. In addition, a special
performance lounge to be utilized by all the stations
will be on the street level, where artists and other
personalities who frequently visit the stations will
appear.
"Since our acquisition of these exceptional radio
stations, we have been operating out of three separate
buildings," commented Alpha's Chairman/Chief Executive
Officer Larry Wilson. "It is with great pride
that we announce that we will be moving to the Pacwest
Center in the heart of Portland's Central Business
District. In our search for a new home, we wanted a
building that is environmentally friendly and one that
is well served by mass transit. The Pacwest Center
ideally meets these criteria. It has a LEED-EB rating
and the MAX stops right in front of the building. Getting
all our employees into one location is key to our plan
to achieve maximum efficiency in our operation. While
KINK has had a live performance lounge for nine years,
the new expanded lounge will be the live venue for
all recording artists, sports figures, business dignitaries
and political figures who visit Alpha headquarters.
We also plan to host special events in the lounge for
our largest advertisers."

Ashforth
Adds a Sparkle to Portland's Skyline
Window
Restoration Project Completed and Decades-Long
Window Grime Problem Solved
Ashforth
Pacific, Inc., has changed the look of Portland’s
skyline. After completing a challenging, time-consuming
window restoration project, Ashforth’s 14-story
office tower, One Pacific Square, located in downtown
Portland, now shines as a prominent member of the
Portland skyline.
After
more than three months – a consuming six weeks
of trial and error to produce the right cleaning
mixture and removal process added to eight weeks
of physically cleaning the windows –
One Pacific Square looked like a completely new building.
“This is an extraordinary accomplishment and
a tremendous amount of credit is due to our entire
management team for their determination and persistence,
particularly Scott Lunski, who spent countless hours
formulating a sustainable cleaning solution and the
proper method to clean the grime without damaging the
windows,” said Langley.
